Adam Brimie Scouting Report

Adam Brimie 2016/17 Scouting Report

Niagara Whalers

This past season Adam Brimie, Chicago Illinois native was a rookie defensemen for the current 'Russel Cup Champions' Niagara Whalers.

The rookie defender spent the season in the development program of the Whalers, playing with ex major junior players, as many other rookie players for the Whalers, Adam saw very little ice time, which did not hinder his development whatsoever.

Every rookie season is going to be a rough one, doesn't matter who you are, when we did see Adam play we were surprised with his play, he is a terrific passer and reads the play very well, he is also very physical which is unheard of for a 5ft 8' defender, there is some areas of his game that need to be touched up on, such as his backwards skating, we saw that he lacks transitional skills and very little crossovers while skating backwards hindering his speed, however with that being said he is very skilled offensively, demonstrating dangerous puck skill from what we saw from some practices and game time warm ups.

The Illinois native, comes in at 5ft 8' 159 pounds, equal size to weight ratio making him force in the corners.

We have followed Adam and the Whalers team a lot this season and we are confident in his abilities to reach pro down the road, providing he takes the right steps.

Although there has been no contact between the representatives of 'UP' and Adam we wish him the best in the future of hockey!

Confirmed-> Adam Brimie will not return to the GMHL, will make the drop down to High School.
